Finding the right therapist is crucial—it’s a personal fit that makes all the difference in your journey. I believe connection and trust are the foundation of effective therapy, and I approach each session with empathy and directness to create a comfortable space for you. My style is honest and straightforward, balanced with warmth and realism, which means I won’t shy away from challenging topics if it’s what you need to make real progress. Over time, we’ll build the trust that allows us to explore your unique circumstances and create practical strategies that align with your goals.
If we are not a good fit after the consultation call, I will do my best to help you find a therapist to better meet your needs.
How do I know you’re the right therapist for me?
What does a typical therapy session with you look like?
Therapy can be intimidating for some, especially in the beginning. Knowing what to expect can bring some peace of mind. Initially, we will begin by going over your intake form and getting to know one another. Generally, this includes some background information about the reason you are seeking therapy, what you hope to achieve by attending therapy, determining what your needs are and gathering information about who you are. Subsequent sessions typically include relevant situations throughout the time since we last met, processing those events, discussing different approaches, addressing what is working (and what’s not!), following up on previous sessions and working toward your overall goals. Occasionally, clients will meet their goals and want to continue to work on other things, in which case we will collaborate to identify new goals.
Ultimately, our time together is yours and therapy is client driven, meaning we will talk about and work on whatever you see as important.
How long are your clients typically in therapy?
The length of therapy varies on each individual’s needs, goals and pace. Some clients come in with specific issues and may see meaningful change within a few months, while others choose to engage in therapy for a longer period to explore deeper patterns and support ongoing personal growth. For relationship-focused work, including couples therapy, or if we’re addressing complex life challenges, the process might take a bit longer as we work through those issues step by step.
Rest assured, I don’t want you to be in therapy longer than you need to! My goal is to help you build the skills and resilience needed to handle challenges independently, but I’ll support you as long as you find value in our work together. Therapy is a journey, and we’ll move at the pace that feels right for you.

At this time, we are cash pay only. We have partnered with Mentaya to help clients use their out-of-network benefits to save money on therapy. Use this tool to see if you qualify for reimbursement for my services.
We are able to accept HSA cards and have limited sliding scale slots available. Therapy should be accessible to everyone and payment should not be a barrier. Please reach out if you have any questions.
